Addis Ababa, Number of voters being registered and receiving Voters’ ID Cards for the upcoming national elections has been increasing in particular over the weekend, election executives announced.
Polling station coordinators and executives in Arada, Lideta, Gulele and Addis Ketema sub cities in Addis Ababa City said the number of people receiveing voters’ ID Cards has been increasing.
Coordinator with kebele 09/10 of Arada sub city, Mekonnen Dejene said 1100 voters are expected to be registered. So far
350 voters have been registered.
Election executive of kebele 04/06 in Lideta subcity ,Yenenesh Mekuria on her part said 1000 voters are expected to be registered for the elections
She said over 200 of the total voters have so far been registered.
Voters are also being registered in other polling stations established in other sub cities
The voters on their parts said they appeared at polling stations to exercise the right to vote.
