Addis Ababa, Ethiopian Airlines said an investigative team from Beirut has already arrived at the scene of the accident occurred shortly after departure of ET-409 from Beirut International Airport on Monday.

According to a statement Ethiopian sent to ENA, the team comprising of 14 people from Ethiopian’s Safety and Emergency Response department, Medical Unit, Flight Operations, Maintenance and Engineering, the Ethiopian Civil Aviation and Ethiopian’s Chief Airline Security office has now been sent to Beirut to provide additional support to the team in Beirut.

The Ethiopian has also set up an emergency command center at the Ethiopian headquarters.
